Why are all of these reviews dated within the first 3 days?

Asked by Dutchess_III (46813points) February 1st, 2019

I want to get this book but of course I’m going to check the reviews the first 100 or so were written over the past three days. Is that a flag?

It gets a “D” from Fakespot.

Thsoe aren’t reviews; those are just feedback on delivery times and conditions. The listing of the book cites published reviews.

The book gets a D, or that particular seller @gorillapaws?

@Dutchess_III Fakespot analyses the reviews on sites and runs them through a program to see if they think there are fake reviews. The “D” rating means Fakespot’s software thinks there are many fake reviews, it’s not a rating for how good the book itself is.

OK. I’ll hang on to that link. Thanks so much.

If you keep scrolling down the page on amazon, you will see some reviews by Publisher’s Weekly (not a very good reveiw) and from Scholastic. And then you get to the customer reviews, some of which date back to 2012. Read those.
