Why is it that Trump has declared that he will close the Mexico – U.S. Border at the same time that the full Mueller report becomes public ?

Asked by Inspired_2write (14486points) March 29th, 2019

Other than the obvious to cause a diversion what has he to gain?
Is it more money for his wall?
What do you think would be the worst result of this drastic move would be?

The announcements were independent, not connected, and neither has a definite date set, just general time frames.

There is no rational to closing the border other than it redirects attention to the GOP’s inability to have a coherent immigration policy that makes sense.

I hadn’t heard they’re disclosing the full Meuller report.

The Mueller Report will not be released in full until mid to late April, and Trump, of course, has no control or say-so about when it was completed. In any case, Mueller himself, no friend of Trump, has found no collusion—neither did the nine months of F.B.I, investigations before the appointment of Mueller, nor did a house intel investigation a congressional investigation, nor a senate investigation. The strongest spotlight cannot cast a light on what simply isn’t there.

It’s time that people redirect their attention to the origin of these rumors—the origin of the Dossier, the FISA abuse, all of which originated in the FBI, CIA and DOJ with Obama / Hillary to rig the election for Hillary Clinton.

Some will disagree vehemently but that is why people need to investigate the origin of the Trump / Russia narrative and who it started with originally.

The border crises is because the most recent caravan has over 20,000 headed our way, and over 1,000 per day are apprehended and released at our border.

Schiff did a damned good job of explaining exactly why the collusion suspicions hang on Trump, and particularly in explaining that the Mueller investigation does not absolve Trump of participation in Russia’s efforts to sway the election.

I always have this feeling trump is never in control, never makes the decisions. He does what he is told.

Well, you can’t get any more plain than Mueller, who said that there was absolutely no evidence that Trump, or anyone in the Trump campaign, colluded with Russia.

But since you mentioned Schiff, the Trump Tower meeting did not yield anything to be given over to the F.B.I. The Russian who met with them worked for Fusion G.P.S. so this was likely a set up. The Trump team did not mishandle information because none was given. Schiff himself has tried to get information on Trump through agents—who actually turned out to be playing a joke on a Russian T.V. show.

What’s next? Well, the entire investigation was based on the Christopher Steele Dossier which was paid for by Hillary Clinton using Russian lies to steal an election. The Russia Hoax is dead. Its time to do REAL investigations into its origin, in the Obama DOJ, FBI and CIA, probably orchestrated by Obama.

I stand corrected at the number of illegal immigrants per day, however. It is 14,000 per day. That is why the border will probably be closed.

Well yes you can get plainer by having the Full report open to the general public.
I defer decision on that until I hear ALL the facts.
I liked the way that Adam Schiff counterattacked with intelligent dialogue to suppress his attackers that had not even hears the evidence yet.

@stanleybmanly I think maybe post that link here as it was an excellent video showing the general public what the problems they are dealing with as outlined in the report.

The only thing he says that actually occurred was the Trump Tower meeting.
It was a set-up by Fusion GPS—but yeah, a few on the Trump team fell for it. Nonetheless, it was not an illegal meeting and it yielded nothing that was controversial.

Compare the actual collusion with Russia from the Clinton side, where a phony Dossier containing Russian lies was disseminated to the American people through the media, and that FISA abuse occurred by presenting this dossier as legitimate intelligence.

The Trump team was spied on by the Obama administration using FISA warrants obtained by presenting an illegitimate dossier produced by FUSION GPS, One party spied on the other via the weaponizing of the DOJ and FBI.

The American people are now starting to get the information that they have been lied to for two years or more. Comey, Clapper, Brennan, McCabe—all were in on this. Lets hope they see serious jail time. While the Democrats are grabbing at straws, hoping to find innuendo in what the Mueller report will reveal, we on the other side are even moreso awaiting its release when promised.

This isn’t over by a longshot. And the shakeout repercussions are going to plague Trump’s scandal ridden ass as the absurd notion that the entire intellegence apparatus of the United States supposedly conspiring with liberals to undermine Trump gets the laughs it deserves. It puzzles the shit out of me that defenders of the fool actually believe liberals find it necessary to invent derisive fabrications about Trump, when any dumbell with a set of eyes and ears should appreciate that when it comes to casting a negative light on Trump, NOTHING will ever top the truth. In view of the indisputable daily reality, this whole tale of the fool being brutally and unfairly smeared is a perspective sadly suited to only the feeble minded. And the mere repeptition of such nonsense must relegate proponents to either dimwit or charlatan status—there is no 3rd choice.

But even YOU now are consigned to the question as to where these particular tales of collusion with Russia on the Trump side came from, if they were not factual. Only one administration controls the FBI, DOJ and CIA— I know they did it willingly

The origins of the dossier are well known also, The Hillary Clinton campaign funneled money through a law firm to fund a British nationalist Christopher Steele, working for Fussion GPS, using Russian sources.

There are only about 20 in the FBI, CIA and DOJ who actually committed FISA fraud (presenting the dossier as legitimate intelligence) or disseminated the propaganda through lies and leaks to the American media. Most of them have been fired by their own agencies. But some are selling books or working on Fake News cable networks.

Lets hope some of them will be seeing prison time soon, the prisons they reserved for their political enemies,

@Yellowdog The good in this (for you) is that your Dossier conspiracy narrative should almost certainly receive a public airing out to determine its validity, and that’s fine by me.

zenvelo's avatar

@Yellowdog you continually as ribe the nefarious Steele Dossier as a by product of the Clinton campaign, but never mention that Fusion GPS was originally hired by The Washington Free Beacon, a conservative website, to unearth potentially damaging information about Mr. Trump.

The Free Beacon — which was funded by a major donor supporting Mr. Trump’s rival for the party’s nomination, Senator Marco Rubio of Florida, told Fusion to back off once Trump locked up the nomination.

It was then that Fusion peddled the Dossier to the Clinton Campaign so they could reap some extra profit off their efforts.

Now THERE’s a revelation.
