The Ring is a doorbell that has a camera and sends alerts when people approach your door or yard. If you have one, or know someone who does, what are their thoughts on how useful it really is?

Daughter has multiple units (door bell, motion detectors and contact switches for windows) at their house after some vandalism last Halloween. She loves it because, she works from home this gives her a perimeter view of house while in her office.
