Regarding both the pandemic and the protests, wouldn’t we all be better off with Trump out of the picture?

Asked by stanleybmanly (24153points) June 7th, 2020 from iPhone

Isn’t no President at all preferable to one passing out shoddy and dangerous misinformation on the disease while pouring gasoline on the flames of civil unrest? Would a comatose Trump best serve the national interests?

He doesn’t seem to help anything with his speeches and photo ops, maybe he should go for a long inspection of the bunker.

I still don’t buy it when people tell me no one could have foreseen nor prevented Covid19 from killing 100K Americans. Is there no one in the US goverment paid by people’s taxes in charge of preventing exactly that? Who’s really in charge with what and deserves to be fired right now at the least?

With re to the protest…we would all be better off dealing with it with the WH Chef in charge and not some deranged TV show host.

Yes there WAS a group, Trump disbanded NSC pandemic unit that was there until 2018. He didn’t think they should be spending money planning for something that he was sure not happen (Stable Genius) !

This from Business Insider. The troubling things we find out on supposedly relaxing weekends.

[Trump got into a shouting match with a top Pentagon official after demanding 10,000 troops be deployed to the streets to quell George Floyd protests, according to reports. ]

@mazingerz88 Yes there was, but trump fired them as non-essential personnel. BTW, we crossed the 110,000 mark today

^^Yes, saw it last night as I visited our state’s website for the latest updates. Sadly it seems the number of infected in our county is still rising each week.
