Does anyone else try to conserve the amount of lurve that you give?

Asked by RandomMrdan (7436points) January 17th, 2009

Thinking that you only have a certain amount to give, when actually you do

I always feel that now that I’ve found out you can only give each person only 100 lurve total, that I only give lurve if it’s truly deserving and spectacular. I like to be sure that if I give lurve, they get the lurve points for it. Maybe I’m just weird, I don’t know. I’m pretty sure I’ve maxed out my lurve for Astro Chuck…his answers always make me laugh.

I don’t… They still see it in the box on the right.

I give it away like candy. If you make me smile, laugh, ponder or you point out a flaw in logic – I’m yours. They still see it , they still feel appreciated even if it doesn’t add to their score, and lurve isn’t competitive, it’s a gesture. I’d feel weird withholding it because of my own hangups or whatever.

It’s just like a relationship. You start out because the lurve feels good. When the lurve begins to fade, you have to examine why you’re really in it.

I’ve maxed out on a lot of people, but i still give them credit for good responses or questions.

It’s hard not to give it out. I lurve you guys so much.

No need to be conservative. If it’s a good question or a great answer, it deserves lurve.

I only found out the other day and did feel rather sad about the whole thing :-( but I’m still a-givin’ that lurrrrve out

It would be quite nice in a way to see who i have given lurve to though… just like in your stats as such not or any other reason just that it would be interesting as i don’t keep tabs on who i give it to… and if i’ve maxed out on giving lurve to anyone yet…

No lurve holding back here…

Where did you guys read of this lurve-limit?

Is it because of the current economy?

Seriously, the GAs and GQs that I receive are more important to me (and my ego) than the lurve points (yes, I know I have a lot of those). The good thing is that there is no limit to how many of those you can give and receive.

@As: Lurve isn’t competitive?

@Sueanne_Tremendous: Oh no…not at all. ;)

I had my geek install a special astro chuckie lurve button on my keyboard.

I also had her install a pancake button. Very nice

Wonder what would happen if you pushed both buttons at the same time. Hmmm…

@AstroChuck I believe that limerick ends ‘And she had to be scraped off the ceiling.’

No. My lurve knows no bounds.
