What does BA/AA mean?

There is a job that says you must have a BA or AA….now thats bachelors in art…and associate in art? or am i mistaken?

A BA isn’t necessarily an art degree, though. It can also simply be a less rigorous or more general degree than the BS (Bachelor of Science) degree. I have a B.S. in Fine Arts – it required more credits than a BA and required a portfolio.

Great point, Darwin.
A Bachelor of Arts (or Associates) can be attained for many different subject areas.

Basically, the job posting is saying they want someone with a college degree. If you had a Bachelor of Science degree, they would probably still consider you.

Basically ‘what they said’ but I’ll add my two cents: It’s Bachelor in and Associate in Arts not Art – just your basic two-year or 4 year degree.
