How can we bring digital brand marketing to the 21st century?

Asked by faria (1points) September 25th, 2009

Today, brand marketing on the internet is all about the CPM. It doesn’t take advantage of online communities such as the users of fluther.com, or social networking such as facebook, which is less about impressions and more about actions (e.g tag a photo, like a comment, start a discussion).

What do you think are some of the ways advertisers can take advantage of social networks?

FYI: Shelby Bonnie discussed today on TechCrunch about the importance of killing CPM. http://www.techcrunch.com/2009/09/25/lets-kill-the-cpm/.

“no ads” is actually the reason I use social networks. Like Fluther, Twitter, and with a little manipulation, Facebook.

I can’t stand commercials on tv either

all ads annoy me. I do not-watch them.

once social networks realize AND understand the data mining they have volunteered themselves into the model will die
