Blackberry: What model would you suggest?

Asked by oratio (8940points) September 27th, 2009

My phone is bad, and will soon stop working. I am thinking about getting a Blackberry.

• What is your experience of Blackberries?
• What model would you suggest?

Or do you have your eyes on another phone and model that is all that?

The Blackberry 9000 (the “Bold”), which is available in Sweden, is pretty nice. I currently have an iPhone, but that’s because I got a really great deal on it. You should look at Nokias too. Their E series really impressed me. I think the E90 is available where you are.

I just got a Blackberry Tour 9360 this last week. I never had a blackberry before but various windows mobile phones. The blackberry is the best phone I’ve ever had. The quality is far superior and everything is so well thought out. From what I’ve seen I’d say the curve or the tour would be the way to go. I like the tour because the better camera and the look and feel.

If I didn’t have my iPhone I would have the Blackberry Bold. It’s by far the best phone they make.

And I keep hearing bad things about the Tour. It has a very high return rate. Another fail from Verizon.

The Blackberry Tour is great, but remember: when you buy a Blackberry, it’s good for email, scheduling, pictures, video…pretty much everything besides talking. It’s always hard for me to hear someone talking on a Blackberry, regardless of which network they are on.

@uniquenewyork Interesting. I don’t have any issues hearing on my Blackberry Tour. I am used to using a Moto Q for the last couple of years, I didn’t have any issues with it either though.

I’d recommend the iPhone 3Gs.
