Have you heard of I-Doser? If so, what is your opinion/experiences?

Asked by Foolaholic (5804points) November 20th, 2009

For those of you who haven’t heard, I-Doser is a company that has apparently created a method of simulating not only a huge range of emotions, but also the effects of many drugs on your body. This is done through a process of auditory hypnosis, in order to fool your brain into acting in certain ways. A friend of mine recently purchased a whole bunch of these “digital drugs”, and he swears they work. According to his accounts, he has gotten “drunk”, and tried “peyote”, and claims to have had truly convincing experiences, but I’m very skeptical of this.

Has anyone else out there in the collective heard of or tried this yet? Or if not, what do you think of the idea?

Here is a link to their website for anyone interested.

As I’ve mentioned many times before, I downloaded a ton of these files. I tried a few of them, including the marijuana one, to NO EFFECT.

Don’t waste your money on these. If you’re downloading them for free, I suppose you could give them a try. At least you won’t be losing money with your time.

I tried the LSD one. Gave me a strange feeling sporadically and it impaired my hearing for a while after it was over. Good thing I didn’t pay for it. Yay for piracy. Stay away from it.

I tried the orgasm one (strictly for scientific verification, you understand), and it didn’t work at all.

Tried most of them and none of them worked. Had the right equipment and everything.

I think it’s just a scam. You get a reaction because you believe something will happen.

Try cutting a table tennis ball in half and cover your eyes with it. Lay still for a while and you will start to hallucinate.

Don’t compare this with drugs. Drugs are way beyond this crap :) (and yeah, stay away from them)

I want to try them, last night I tried the Lucid Dream one for about 7 minutes, but I gave up because I kept drifting into thought, and opening my eyes, so oubviously it didn’t work. At first though my eyes bere fluttering A LOT. I think it was just because I was nervous. I work with a guy who says they really do work on him though.
