When you sit at home and have the tv on what show do you have on most of the time? How much time do you spend in front of the tv?

I usually watch DVDs of old, popular sit-coms and other t.v. shows, like “A Family Affair”, “The Waltons”, “Leave It To Beaver”, “The Golden Girls”, and “Gilligan’s Island.” I don’t like most of the shows on t.v. today, so I like to watch the “true and tested”.

I used to watch nearly every tv show under the sun as well as a handful of sitcoms and animes but then my tv broke. Now I’ll watch family guy, the daily show/colbert report or wrestling online and maybe like once a month or so I’ll watch a marathon of whatever random show pops into my mind

NCIS mmm Mark Harmon, yummy. Supernatural, mmm Dean. SVU, Bones, House [it’s getting kind of stupid and has no mmm value], Boston Legal [tho I am Trekkie and am aghast at my Kirkie]!

Berserker's avatar

The Simpsons and Xena Warrior Princess. I also like American Dad.

That’s about it, cable television generally sucks.

IF i have the tv on, i have those music stations on. lately it’s been “sounds of the season” but sometimes its the dance/electronica station or oldies.

Angels21fvryoung's avatar

I’m hooked on cooking shows: Iron Chef, Next Top Chef, Chopped, Hell’s Kitchen, Man vs Food, Bizarre Foods. am I forgetting any?

I also enjoy Lost, Survivor, Fringe, Amazing Race, Office and 30Rock.

I almost forgot SNL.

I think I watch too much tv. At least during the colder months of the year.

Unfortunately, half of the shows I enjoy were canceled within the past year. But I can still catch King of the Hill and ER on basic cable.

Oxymoron's avatar

@TLRobinson , that’s an amazing show. I’m getting back into it now.

My favorite show would have to be Dexter. Haven’t missed an episode and own the first two seasons. Amazing plot!

@Angels21fvryoung So true. Let me add to my collection then:

I also watch 90210. there, I admit it! What can I say, I watched the original in the 90s and I’m patiently waiting for Dylan’s return.
Monster Quest
Mantracker
any Bronco game that is televised in my area (Illinois) as well as any Packer game (husband’s team)

Now I must be going. I’ve got some tv to watch. ;)

I watch House, Lie to Me, V, Criminal Minds, CSI, CSI: NY, Bones, Project Runway, FlashForward, Mad Men, Glee and QI. It’s really sad that that’s a huge cut from the amount of TV I used to watch…

If I’m puttering around the house and just want (hahaha I just typo’d that as “wank”) something on as background noise, it’s usually the Game Show Network or Discovery. Also, I can be easily distracted by anything with Gordon Ramsay. I like his face.

@faye: House has no mmm value!? Are you blind, or just crazy!?
