What states produce is the best?

Asked by simone54 (7642points) March 2nd, 2010

I have lived in New Jersey and California and Jersey’s fresh produce kicks Cali’s ass.

What do you think?

Florida citrus is incredible. Florida oranges make a great snack and an incredible juice. I wish everyone had a chance to taste one picked fresh from the tree.

I have to agree with you. It wasn’t hard to get Florida oranges in NJ. The California oranges sucks. I was actually eating one when I posted this.

lol, I know. I live in CA now, (from florida), and I feel like I’m eating bootleg oranges when I taste one.

Yeah, go ahead and pick on our oranges. Florida may have us beat on oranges but for overall variety, quantity and quality of produce, I doubt any state can rival California.
See ya…..Gary/wtf
PS: I’ll put an orange and avocado off trees right in my own backyard against any, anyone wishes to offer up. And my limes, lemons, tangerines, etc are pretty darn good, as well.

All I can say TN has been the worst place for produce I have every lived. I am frustrated all of the time. I rarely buy anything out of season, because it will be disgusting, but even in season I am dissapointed a lot. I have lived in FL, and was happy there. I have no idea about Cali.

Probably would be California and Florida.
