Why do my 'Questions for You' numbers fluctuate without my clicking on anything?

Asked by MissAnthrope (21511points) March 6th, 2010

I’ve noticed in the past week that my “Questions for You” suddenly went up to like 100-something, then went back to a more reasonable number, in the 30s. Then, tonight, I was at 32 or something, and now it’s 23, even though I haven’t clicked on or cleared any of those questions. I also haven’t just read 9 new questions, so I don’t think I cleared them that way.

What the dealio?

They are automatically cleared out when they either have received x number of answers or are x number of days old. I think. It’s a relatively new thing that was implemented to keep the servers from bogging down. I think. I really should know this, shouldn’t I? ~

Yuppers. Just something to tide us over until we revamp it. It’s not ideal.
