Have you ever thought of designing a "doodle" on the Google logo? Tell us.

I just learned that people can actually submit their designs:

Now I’m thinking about it. What would you like to see celebrated or commemorated on Google’s home page?

I would like to see something for the inventors of television (Philo T. Farnsworth,
Vladimir Zworykin and John Logie Baird), and use it the day that the BBC began regular public broadcasts of television on 2 November 1936. They were the first to do so.

I can’t draw very well, so I’d leave the actual design to others.

Great idea! If you look at the contest they are running right now—the public voting for designs of schoolchildren—you can see that the images are not the work of kids. Google’s artists must have taken the kids’ designs and rendered them skillfully.
