Is the Isner Mahut tennis match still going at Wimbledon?

Asked by Adirondackwannabe (36713points) June 24th, 2010

I don’t have access to a TV but the last update I could find said tied at 68–68. This in the fifth set. Is this frigging thing still going on?

I just saw this morning on the tele one of the players involved in the match was doing a short interview before beginning a different match. So? I think it’s over.

It’s over now. Isner won the fifth set 70–68.

They broke, obviously, some records:
Match duration; 11 hours, 5 minutes.
Isner; 112 aces, 246 winners, breakpoints won 2 out of 14, points won 478.
Mahut; 103 aces, 244 winners, breakpoints won 1 out of (only!) 3, points won 502.

And could you believe Mahut diving for two shots after nine hours?
