Any tasty smoothie or slushy recipes?

Asked by meandzeddie (11points) June 29th, 2010

Something easy to make with a magic bullet or a blender. Anything at all? I have barley any juice but lots of fruit and a little soda. So if you have any ideas don’t be afraid to tell me. Even if it involves juice.

You could make an Orange Julius YUM!

Orange juice, strawberries and mangos

Lemonade and grapes. Or pineapple and grape juice.

Any combination of frozen bananas, oranges (or juice) strawberries and pineapple

Cherries and limeade

Frozen strawberries or raspberries and lemonade

Of course adding ice to all of the above to make them slushy.

If you want a creamy smoothie you can add yogurt or frozen yogurt to any of those.

You know what you could do that might be fun for your spa party, is lay out an assortment of fruit and allow them to make the fruit smoothies themselves.
Not sure what your budget is, but you can go out and buy fresh bananas, blueberries, strawberries, oranges, mangos, cherries, pineapples, berries, apples, etc. and allow the girls to personally choose what they want to include in their smoothie. :)

It’s more of an icecream in my opinion…

I chop up two or three bananas and freeze them for about/atleast fours hours.
while they freeze, blend a handful of fresh strawberries until they’re like a liquidy jam.
blend the frozen ‘nanas – they’ll get nice and creamy in the bullet.
makes a rather large serving (or two decent sized ones). use the jam as a tasty topping. I like to sprinkle with dutch chocolate sprinkles.

super tasty and easy! :)

Aris and I like the ones I make with strawberries, raspberries, peaches, orange sherbert, and a smidgen of either vanilla ice cream or milk. Blend well, add a shot or two of peach schnapps (if you want alcoholic ones) and enjoy.
