Is there a difference between the mistubishi spotero and the mitsubishi triton?

I was discussing this with my friend the other day and he said that the mistubishi triton and the spotero are the same vehicles I said that they are different vechicles. Are they the same or are they different brands?

sportero = 2.5L engine redesigned 4D56

triton = 3.2L engine redesigned 4M41

triton = tonneau cover, sunroof & other extras

sportero = doesn’t have as many ‘luxury’ features
