After a stressful day at work you go into a bar with colleagues. One drink, or two or more?

Asked by flutherother (34531points) August 20th, 2010

It is fun to unwind with fellow workers and catch up on the gossip. People don’t relax fully after just one drink though do they.

This very much depends on my mood. Sometimes one drink, sometimes two. Sometimes none. Sometimes I like to get a little sloppy.

Maybe one or two. I was born relaxed, well not literally but you get my drift.

I am with @TheOnlyNeffie on this one. Usually takes two. I drink the first one real fast. The second one slower.

Used to when i was younger, when i had more money than sense leave work and get smashed.

Have better things waiting at home for me these days.

It may be a generation thing, but after a stressful day of work, the last thing I want to do is spend more time with my collgeagues. Plus I’m not into alcohol. What I like to do is head home to my little house chill out by not thinking about work.

@Austinlad I agree, I’m not much inclined to go socialising with work colleagues. When I go out with friends it’ll usually be three drinks, spread over 3–4 hours.

I agree with @Austinlad. The best way for me to relax after a stressful day is to go home and do something completely unrelated to work and coworkers.

Every Friday evening after work, a few of the gals in the office and I go out and just have one or two glasses of wine.
