How do you retrieve an account password for an AOL dial up account without going through the company?

You might be able to retrieve the original password if you can find the email AOL should have sent you when you first created the account. Look for old email from AOL.

Most sites have a password retrieval from the log-in screen. Did you register a secondary web address when you set up the account? Underneath the password box is a link “Forget Your Password?” that may require you to answer your security questions when you answered whn you set up the account.

@BarnacleBill – @silky1 doesn’t want to go through AOL to get the password.

Which leads me to ask, because I’m curious, @silky1 , why not? I’ve not dealt with AOL before, but I would think that they would want to help you so that you use their product. Otherwise, I think FutureMemory’s idea is your only way.
