What are the warmest men's winter boots to wear?

Asked by blueknight73 (2706points) November 6th, 2010

It’s starting to get cold, and I need to get a new pair of boots. I am outside a lot in the winter, and I need some that are really warm. Any suggestion’s?

For my money, nothing beats a pair of Kamik Edison Knee Boots. They aren’t flashy, but they’re comparatively cheap and they get the job done right.

They’re basically a vulcanized rubber, knee high, boot with rugged soles, a basic foam liner and a cinch at the top. The glory of these boots is that, unlike most winter boots, they are 100% waterproof. This is the key. Your feet will stay bone dry, no matter what kinds of mud, snow, water or slush you’re walking through. When your feet are dry, the simple liner is all you need to keep the heat in. For trudging abnormally deep snow, the cinch works damn well to keep anything from coming in over the top.

Plus they’re rugged and super easy to put on. If function beats fashion in your book, you really can’t go wrong. My current pair has survived 7 Canadian winters and could easily do many more. Maybe the liners could be changed one of these years, but they’re still in great shape too!

Real sheepskin lined boots.

How “cold” are you talking about?

Surprisingly, the higher the boot comes up your leg the warmer it is.
