Does anyone have any secret on how to unclump Comet cleaner?

Asked by Dutchess_III (46828points) November 27th, 2010

If my brown sugar gets clumped and hard I can put a piece of bread in it, and by the next day it’s soft again. I can’t put a piece of bread in the Comet container, so what else can I do?

I don’t know if it’s possible. It seems that the cleanser has gotten damp and that’s why it’s clumping. Personally, I’d just buy a new can and keep it somewhere dry, rather than under the sink where it’s most convenient. Maybe in the linen closet.

If you really want to use this particular can of Comet, you can probably cut the top off of it and try the bread trick and tape the lid back on. I think you are probably storing your comet under the sink where it can get too warm and moist. Try storing it in the garage or other cool, but dry area.

Yeah, I should just buy a new one, but I never think about it until it’s time to use it!
