If we lose the rain forest how many future cures or medicines would we lose?

They say the rain forest is the world’s pharmacy that many of the medicines so if the rain forest is destroyed in favor of cattle ranches and corn farms etc what possible future pharmaceuticals could be lost it treatments or cures lost because of it?

No way to know if we destroy it before we understand it.

Look at the bright side…think of all the future medications that could really mess you up that will not be on the market. ;)

A great many. Applies to other ecosystems as well. Like coral reefs.

There are tons of remedies in every ecosystem that people just ignore. And it’ll matter precious little if we can’t breathe. Oxygen is the best remedy for asphyxiation. That’s the main one that matters.
