If you were stuck on an island for 1 year what food would you want to eat other than all the fish you can catch?

Your stuck on an island. For 1 year. You can only eat one meal every breakfast EXAMPLE: waffles, eggs, bacon .Only one meal for lunch EXAMPLE: sandwich, salad, fruits. And only one meal for dinner. EXAMPLE: steak, salad, cheese. What would you choose. You could only have those meals everyday for a year. 365 days. The same meal.

Nutritionally, I believe it might be smartest to eat eggs for breakfast, salad for lunch, and cheese or steak for dinner.

Then again, nutrition really ain’t my thing. I just think I’d be including a few of the essential food groups.

Edit: oops, I thought we could only pick one of the three choices that were listed under each meal time. Ha, I need sleep.

What, no coconuts for the picking?

Bacon with every meal. For breakfast I think bacon, sausage, egg, and cheese sandwhich on a croissant. Lunch would be something light, like a salad with chunks of chicken, bitter greens, sunflower seeds, bacon bits, etc. Dinner would be venison steak medium rare cooked with onions and bacon, with a side of onion rings and either some pineapple or a fried crispy banana for dessert.

(no anchovy, no croutons)

add my daily caught fish to the dinner menu.

Breakfast: Cereal with blueberries
Lunch: Peanut Butter and Jelly with Sunchips®
Dinner: Steak Burrito with cheese, green salsa, rice, pinto beans, lettuce, guacamole, and all wrapped in a golden wrapper.

All assisted with water.

Breakfast : Oatmeal and yogurt
Lunch: Cheese, tomato and avacado sandwich
Dinner: Wine, salad with garlic bread and ice cream

When I see these type of questions, my first thought is to pick something that I absolutely love, like Palak Paneer (which is an Indian curry made with spinach and cheese) but then I realize that if I eat something really tasty, but rich, I will not even want it on the 2nd day. Some things are only good, if you only eat them once in awhile.

So my second thought is to pick foods which will help me to keep healthy (and regular, lord you don’t want to find yourself constipated with no laxatives).

So my third and final thought is to try to choose something that I like, that won’t get old soon, and will help me to keep regular. So here goes:

Breakfast- Grapenuts cereal with milk, coffee and wholewheat toast with butter.

Lunch- Peanut butter and jelly sandwich (boysenberry jelly) on whole wheat bread, with some jack cheese cubes, and some carrot sticks and raw cauliflower florets, and a glass of iced tea and a chocolate chip cookie.

Dinner- A bean and cheese burrito with salsa and a side of Mexican rice and a green salad with mixed baby greens, shredded carrots, chopped fresh broccoli, some diced mozzarella cheese and a Balsamic vinaigrette. With a glass of 2% milk to drink.

Alternative Dinner- a big slice of really good cheese pizza in place of the bean burrito. Replace the Mexican rice with a bowl of really good vegetable soup, keep the salad and switch to 1% milk.

2 soft fried eggs with extra crispy bacon and cheese on lightly toasted bread for breakfast

medium rare ribeye, crab legs, grilled asparagus, garlic mashed potatoes for lunch

vodka and tonic with lime for dinner
