Sites to help create music?

Asked by Mrs_Dr_Frank_N_Furter (587points) May 20th, 2008

I want to transpose some music and right now I’m doing it by hand. I must say it is very tedious, so I was wondering if there is an site that can let me just like input the notes on the staff.

Try this

It’s not web-based, it is an application you would have to install on your PC, but apparently it’s free to download.

I guess if finale notepad is all you need and you’re not doing any serious composing, that’s good. However, if you need to do lots and lots of it, or you’re a composer, I seriously recommend getting something like the full version of Sibelius. I know it costs a lot, but I wouldn’t be able to get along without it.
