What is the best DVD authoring software?

Hi! I have been using Adobe Encore to create my DVD menus and build and burn my event DVDs. Is there something better, easier to use? What do the professionals use?

Not sure if Windows Movie Maker does DVDs. I use Pinnacle 15 because 1) it is simple and 2) it also makes .avi and .wmv files with a storyboard for adding music tracks to muted video (like my kids’ soccer games).
