What is your personal experience with watering balls/bulbs?

They look really cool but I’ve never tried them… it seems like it would be easy for the tube to get blocked when you put it in the soil. (I saw that it says to make the hole first, but what if something plugs the thing up?) I have tried these in outdoor planters, and they work decently well. I like the glass ones, but I think they would be irresistible to small grandchildren:-)

You’d be better off drilling a hole in a gallon, half gallon or pint milk container and using it to slowly water your plants.
