We all know the sound. How much does a shave and haircut cost in your version?

2 bits, which is a quarter.
Mine only costs electricity, since I do both myself.

My last one was quoted as $8.00, but I gave them a $20.00. Two bits is nothing today.

In the song mine is six bits or seventy five cents, my husband’s is five cents. It made me wonder the different ways people finish the song.

The same as @filmfann above. I shave my face and my head on a regular basis and it’s only the small cost of electricity.

I don’t care what anyone else says, bald is beautiful.

My daughter cuts my hair. So it only costs me a request.

Adirondackwannabe's avatar

@zenzen It costs a lot more than that, but it’s so nice to be able to pay that price. Family is priceless.:)

I shave my own head, which is fraught with danger. I walked around on campus all day yesterday with a stupid haircut that I had to fix today :-p
The only time I paid for a haircut at a men’s barber was in France this summer. A hole in the wall barbershop called Casa Coiffure! Lmfao. Yes, it is possible to get a haircut for 8 Euros in Paris, but don’t count on them cleaning any of the equipment between customers >_<

For over 30 years I have cut my own hair and shaved my own face. I’ve wore out 2 electric clippers and a little electricity as well as some time. I don’t know how much that that adds up to but it isn’t much. Especially when you consider the amount of money that I’ve saved. A conservative estimate is between 3 and 4 thousand dollars in savings. Why pay someone to make me look bad when I can do that myself for free. HA!

I learned the song as “2 bits.”

We found a rotating head hair trimmer, and my fiancé cuts his own hair. I shave the back of his neck with his regular razor, and he uses a smaller trimmer to manage his beard.

Been cutting my own hair for years. But if I had two hairs, I might pay the barb.

I started cutting the back and sides of my own hair with the #2 in the electric razor kit. I leave the top to the hairdresser, that cost me 20 dolla billz yall every 2 months, but this fashionista is willing to pay the price.

Adirondackwannabe's avatar

@nofurbelowsbatgirl My s/o’s hairdresser can always tell when she’s tried to cut her own hair.

nofurbelowsbatgirl's avatar

@Adirondackwannabe my hairdresser doesnt mind since I am just keeping the sides and back shaved..otherwise I’d be paying 20 dolla billz every week just to shave the back and sides of my head :/ otherwise it is not the look I want. =O If I cut the top I would notice and I would not be happy. Lol. I am getting a haircut in 2 weeks but now that my hair on the top of my head has grown it looks like Pinks lol.

@nofurbelowsbatgirl Hair can look good in so many different ways.

Any hints for you?

I learned it as “2 bits”, too.

I cut my husband’s hair every time, and my own most of the time, so it’s practically free for the most part. I go to a nice salon once a year or so, and pay 40 to 50 bucks for a good cut, then just maintain it myself.

nofurbelowsbatgirl's avatar

@Adirondackwannabe hints for me? No. My stylist has said she likes my hair short. In fact I haven’t had one bad complaint but I do get a lot more people who stare at me? Hopefully that’s a good thing :/ lol. When I had long hair I was fashionless I didn’t know who I was. It’s weird I know but now that I shave half of my head I have figured out my style, who I am and my wardrobe. Feels good actually..took a long time though, and as I said to my mother I am living up to my astrological sign. I am a snake and this is the year of the snake. I am shedding skin. I am also a pisces so this month was a double whammy.

I don’t know the song at all, but where I used to go it costs £8.00. Now it doesn’t cost me anything; I bought some clippers and I do it myself at home.
