Bitten by something a few days ago, have no idea what it was.
Title is pretty self explanatory. I was walking next to a creek with a few friends, then all of a sudden I felt this terrible pain in my right foot, literally stopped me in my tracks.(I was wearing shoes) I looked around and didn’t see anything, took my shoe off… and I had two faint marks from something. The pain subsided, and I literally rubbed my spit on it, then applied mud since nothing else was available. Kept walking around, and I was fine. It never swelled up or pussed or anything.
A day or two had gone by, it started to itch, so I checked on it again. Apparently I wasn’t just “bit” twice, but four times. That was almost a week ago, I looked at it again a few minutes ago and the marks have since turned red and two of them look like tiny scratches… Which kinda freaks me out a little. I live in western New York, I have no idea what this could be. I’m sure I’ll be fine but I’m just curious to see if anyone else has experienced anything like this? I haven’t been stung by a bee in over 10 years, but I would say it felt quite similar. There was no stinger though or bee corpse. I’ve never been stung by a horsefly or anything like that either, so I have no idea if it could be that. It was just the weirdest thing. One last piece of info, my shoes have next to zero space for anything to fall in them. Checked the inside after it happened and found nothing.
