What is the largest matutinal animal?

Asked by hogbuttons (276points) August 30th, 2013

I will also settle for the largest vespertine animals or the largest crepuscular animals in general. I would, however, really like to know the largest animals active only in pre-dawn to dawn.

Everywhere or in our own areas? In my area, elk/ deer.

I would say probably gators in my area, though I think they’re active at dusk as well.

@Seek_Kolinahr What about those massive man-eating pythons I keep hearing about. I have got to stop watching Animal Planet- lol

haha. They’re in the ‘glades. about four hours’ drive south. The pythons we worry about around here are the ones still in the cage in the baby’s bedroom.

Have you ever met a real bull moose? They are huge. Of course their hours of activity may not apply to your question.
