Which clock will you forget to set back an hour Saturday night?

Asked by TheRealOldHippie (1659points) November 1st, 2013

It’s the one you never think about so you forget about it. For me, it’s the one in the car – always forget to set it back and then I notice it when I’m driving and can’t do a thing about it. And, your forgotten clock is…...?

I am so grateful we in Hawaii do not have to change our clocks.

I always forget to change the clock in the kitchen. It’s high up so I always forget about it.

Mine is my car clock. PITA it all is! lol

Thankfully the one in my car is easy to change. Nevertheless I will still forget.

I never forget any of them, but the time on my PlayStation 3 is weird. In the last two years I have tried to switch it to the proper time, and it works until I turn it off. Then when I turn it on again it’s back to the time it was at before I changed it. No matter how many times I set it, it just jumps forth an hour after turning it off. I think it does the same when I need to skip it ahead, but since it’s already messed up from not going back an hour, it makes no difference. So it’s always an hour later than it should be, and I don’t know how to fix that.

Dubai does not have varying time zones, nor does it employ daylight savings so we do not have to change our clocks.

We did it last Saturday & I didn’t forget any, most did it automatically anyway.

All the ones I have to change manually. That’s the car clock, the stove clock, and the microwave clock. All of the others (phones and cable box) will thankfully turn over on their own. We don’t have alarm clocks (who needs ‘em when you’ve got cell phones?) or decorative clocks in the house.

The clock on the kitchen wall. I won’t notice it until I’m leaving the house and then won’t have time to do it.

I have lots of clocks in my house that have to be set manually, plus the one in my car and my watches. The one on my microwave and one on my oven I usually set last because twice a year I forget how to do it. The whole time-changing process takes longer than I want to deal with on Sunday morning, so I usually do it at 8 Saturday night.

Thank goodness for iPhone, which I use to set the others by, and for my several Atomic Time clocks, which I usually don’t have to touch. The latter are really a drag to change.

In the past I’ve always forgotten the clock on the thermostat. This year I changed it early! And the ones in the cars, for sure, and yes, I always notice when I’m driving. It’s amazing how many clocks/watches we have. I wish they were all atomic.

I’m with @Coloma on this, the one in the car. And I can never remember how to do it, so I have to get the manual out. This could take months. Sometimes it has taken me so long that I just wait until the next time change and then it’s correct.

@chyna Haha, I know, and, ( middle aged bad eyesight bitching here ) the freaking buttons are microscopic and I have to put my face right up against the dash to flippin’ see! lol

I remembered both in the kitchen, the phones and laptop and TVs reset themselves…. So my son’s alarm clock (if he didn’t unplug it last visit) and the van are all I can think of.

The one on the thermostat! Thanks for the reminder, @GoldieAV16, I was so smug, thinking I had gotten them all last night before going to bed!

Mitsu_Neko's avatar

@Yetanotheruser LOL I forgot that one until last night and then turned out it reset itself.

I still haven’t managed my wristwatch, 3 days after the change. Apparently, it’s just a fashion accessory, since I always check the cell phone for the time.

Mitsu_Neko's avatar

All my watches have dead batteries! They are def just for looks but then I never wear them anyway due to the swelling from the lupus and fibromyalgia. Still haven’t changed the van time.
