Is this a good thing?

Asked by laura98 (191points) May 2nd, 2014

So if you read my previous questions, the boy who my dad asked to tutor me actually texted me first. Things had been going pretty well on the days he would come over to help me. We would laugh and joke around, but would stay serious when it came to work. He’s incredibly handsome and nice, etc. He even walked to a nearby ice cream place with me and I noticed he suddenly started wearing cologne as opposed to the first couple of times he came over( I don’t know if this means anything, but I just thought I should point it out.)

Basically to get to the point of my question, I left my phone off for three days because I’ve been busy and haven’t really gotten the chance to charge it. It’s been about 4 days since our last tutoring session and I haven’t been on my phone recently so I haven’t had the chance to ask him about planning for another date nor have I really needed the help. However, I turned on my phone today and was surprised to see a message from him that was asking if I wanted him to come over tomorrow to help me, etc. I know this is somewhat trivial, but it’s the first time he’s ever texted me first and I’m kind of taking it as he enjoys being around me and helping me. Friendship is always a great first step, so I hope this means that he’s becoming more comfortable with me. What do you guys think? Am I overreacting?

Stop analyzing every move he makes and just go with the flow.

Way overreacting.

Well, it’s certainly not a bad thing. Have him come over.

I take it that the math tutoring has been helpful. From what you say, it is reasonable to assume that he feels comfortable around you. As @livelaughlove21 says, go with the flow.

Sounds like a positive, now that the school year is coming to an end wait and see how things go from there. He may want to continue the friendship, just wait and see
