Do we no longer get a chance to fix up major typos in an answer?

Asked by ZEPHYRA (21750points) June 23rd, 2014

After the editing period is over and we flag an answer for too many typos, do we no longer get a chance to fix it up? I have flagged something but never been called up to fix it.

How long has it been since you flagged that question?

P. S: I think you need to flag this question too. There is a typo here ~

There is no way for us to send answers back for editing like we can with questions. There have been occasions in the past when we would do an internal edit to fix the typo if it was making it difficult for users to understand what was being said, but generally, typos do not get fixed after the editing window has passed.

I just sent an answer back for editing that I hope to God gets fixed. They used to fix answers on rare occasions. This one really matters a lot, I hope someone still has the ability to change it.

Fluther has never had the facility to send answers back for editing, only questions.

I don’t think we’ve ever been able to fix typos in answers after the….never mind. Just read what everyone else wrote. Carry on.

On another Q I just asked if mods have all the abilities Augustlan had, and I was told they do. So, theoretically they can change an answer. Even Auggie only did it very sparingly, but it should be able to be done. I have no idea if a mod fixed the one I recently asked for (I think I have asked for an answer to be fixed maybe once a year at most) I assume they didn’t fix it for me because I assume they would have told me if they did.
