What is the weirdest thing that's happened to you lately?

Asked by rockfan (14627points) August 29th, 2014

Yesterday while I was at a comedy club, I sat next to a guy with a very specific looking cane. An hour after the show I was still in the empty parking lot, and I saw a very weird looking kid running and waving around a cane, it looked like the exact same one. It was probably just a coincidence, but it felt like I was in a Deliverance type horror film, and it made my blood run cold for a second.

What about you?

Just yesterday. I wrote a rebuttal on a website in relation to something I consider exploitive and one of my replies was from a woman named ” Lori B.” that is MY name too! hahaha
The truth is stranger than fiction.

I got run over by a dust devil that altered its path and went out of its way to do so.

This was a couple months ago, but the most recent really weird thing….

I was cleaning out some old stuff and found my old cd’s. When I was young I’d hide money in the cases so I figured I’d check to see if there was any I forgot about. I didn’t find any money but I found an old naked photo of an ex. I thought nothing of it really and discarded the photo. The very next day I received a PM on Fluther from said ex asking me if I was indeed <my name> and that they’d like to catch up.

I’ve used the same username for years which explains them finding me easily, just so weird it happened the day after finding that photo….

Several months ago I was suddenly depressed. I tried to find the reason but couldn’t. The depression lasted for several days then stopped. Then some days after that some kind of misunderstanding happened and I almost lost some of my close friends. I still had a feeling that something was warning me about this by the depression.

About a month ago, a woman contacted me on Facebook with the same first and last name as me. Although she’s older than I am, she informed me that she studied cultural anthropology in school as well, and that she used to live in Oregon, too! So, so strange!

Ice bucket challenge, the wife did me & she poured it very slowly, felt like a waterboarding.
Asked why, she replied with relish, “I wanted to savour the moment”
Love you too darlin : /

I’ve been having trouble with the springs on my Ford truck sun visor and at the same time from out of the blue an old college friend popped up on facebook. His company (started by his dad years ago) makes springs for the car industry.

I live on the second floor of an apt block and my windows are large and I have an overhang of a partial roof , directly in front of the se windows
( like a huge shelf where I sometimes sit on to wash the outside of said windows when needed).
Usually I get “magpies” ( Birds), Crows and Even a Huge Raven ( almost like an Albatross).

Well today I awoke with Canada Geese Flying directly over my apt.
I looked and saw in mid flight a couple of Canada geese flying South ( already?).
I did not get my camera out fast enough.
But I will watch for this again soon as If they are flying South now and the flight path is above my window…I may just be able to get a video of still Picture of them in flight.

Weird things don’t often happen to me. I tend to be the weird thing that happens to others.

I thought the nightmare I had just woken up from was the reality I woke up in. Did I make it too complicated? So I jumped out of bed, fell down, got terrified, ran to the living room where I thought I’d find that bloody corpse and I was wondering where my stalker/future murderer was hiding. Ha. Ha. I haven’t had a dream since I was 10, my nightmares have been an endless source of horror stories to tell my friend.
