Sure and add Malwarebytes as well it’s free and easy to install, and make sure you do regular scans ,and keep them all updated.

Whatever you do, do not install McAfee. You should probably start by installing Malwarebytes, run a full scan, and see if that takes care of it. If it doesn’t, there are other things you can do yourself, but if you’re not an advanced user, you might be better off taking it to a shop for virus removal.

@dalppled leaves, thanks. My phone has these phone calls begging me to install it, but I don’t get them now.

Ok yes add Malwarebites, or Norton or whatever its called (I forgot sorry) Keep your computer software updated, and maybe you should seek help.

You can post a topic at the forum below and they will walk you through fixing the problem

It takes several days, and they’re all volunteers, but basically they walk you through figuring out what virus you have, and then instructions specific to your computer and situation.

^ This is really the best thing to do if you can’t take it to a professional. You have to be patient, and follow directions, and it really helps to have a second, clean computer to use to connect to the internet while you’re figuring things out.

Get AVAST anti malware. It’s really good.
