Have you tried multiple mobile phone brands like Apple / Samsung / Motorola or any other? If so which one did you like the most and why?

I have had samsung, and LG, right now I have an LG flip and it works great, but here is a shock I only use the phone for talking ,storing numbers, and voicemail.
In the time I have had this phone several friends have gone through several smart phones, NO THANKS.

I used various “pre-smart” phones. But I have only used iPhones since the smart phones became prevalent, because it is fully compatible with my other technologies.

First phone was LG.
Second was Motorola.
Third and fourth phones Nokia.

I’ve liked them all for different reasons, but I’m not comparing apples to apples here—the three brands span three completely different types of phone. Perhaps obviously, my fourth phone is the nicest. And its camera eliminates any need for a separate digital camera. My parents began with Nokia, and even though they’ve gone to other phone brands they swear by Nokia for the manufacturing quality. I don’t have much to compare it to, but my two Nokias experienced the worst treatment of my phones (the other two spent much more of their time benignly in a pocket) and they’ve held up remarkably.

Went from first phone to second, and from second phone to third, because of improved reliability (batteries were failing, signal wasn’t always the best.) Went from third to fourth partly because of battery, mostly because the software was becoming obsolete and my digital camera had died by then anyway, so two birds. (Also by then, the phone’s camera was better than the digital camera.)

I like my Nokia 1020 best; it’s sleek, efficient and reliable… I want to hold onto it until it’s literally falling apart.

Had HTC, Samsung, LG, and for couple years now, Nexus 6 (Motorola).

Nexus 6 is the best of the bunch.

Samsung worked OK, but it felt cheap (plastic parts that bent). It worked just fine, though.

The LG phone was a piece of crap.

Motorola, Nokia, LG and now Samsung. We’re going back 18 years though.

As far as current phones, it’s my first smart phone and I am in love with my Note 5.

I bought my first cell phone 20 years ago, and I don’t remember what brand it was.

However, it seems like I’ve always been using Samsung.

Long ago I first went with a Motorola product.

I liked that it was very compact for the time and by an American company.

I switched to Samsung for it’s Personal Computer like interface. My favorite was Samsung’s answer to the RAZR. So slim!

But I wanted a phone made by Apple since before they existed.

Have had a 3GS, 4 and 5S so far.

I’ve had more than one Nokia, a Sony, two Samsungs and now an HTC.

I loved my Samsungs, but they have so much bloatware on them that you can’t delete. When I replaced my phone this time, I was limited in the storage space I could get on the available phones AND the new Samsungs wouldn’t allow me to add additional storage. So I went with the HTC. It’s fine.

Assuming you’re only asking about smart phones, I’ve used:

HTC Evo V 4g, Nokia 635, and now I have a Moto E. My husband has an LG something or other that he hates.

The down side to the Nokia was the fact that it ran Windows phone 8. The app selection was atrocious. Also it only had 512 mb of RAM, so even Facebook would crash constantly.

I loved my HTC Evo, and would get an HTC phone again.

I have the Moto E now. Got it as a free-phone-with-transfer promotion. I like it, as it serves my needs (runs Android lollipop) and has kick ass battery life.

All of my smartphones were/are Motorola.

Several brands including iPhone, Samsung and Nokia. But for me the choice always comes down to the operating system—Android or iOS, and iOS is the one I always return to. Other folks on this thread will disagree, of course, but I think iPhones are the best—at least for my purposes.

@Pachy You must have either teeny, tiny hands or an iPhone 6.

How tiny is it?

Pachy's avatar

@jerv, I have a 6 Plus and love it.
