Will you join me in saying farewell to a beautiful voice behind many beautiful faces?

Asked by Pachy (18610points) July 25th, 2016 from iPhone

Marni Nixon has passed away at 86. You might not know her name, but you’ve probably heard her voice. She “ghost sang” for Audrey Hepburn in My Fair Lady, Natalie Wood in West Side Story and Deborah Kerr in The King and I, among others.

She also performed on Broadway and in opera houses, hosted an Emmy Award-winning children’s television show and was a well-regarded singing teacher in New York.

Say it’s not so!!
That wasn’t the amazing Natalie Wood singing?? I’m crushed, @Pachy.

But farewell, Ms. Nixon. You had a lovely voice and a long, productive life.
