What would you do if you were a teacher and one of your students throws a tissue away and she accidentally knocks some of your papers in the trash?

Asked by Trucktruck (75points) October 12th, 2016

I really have nothing to add here… Sorry about that…

Duh! Call her attention to the accident, and ask her civilly to retrieve the papers and straighten things up.

^ What he said, if she didn’t notice and pick up the papers when it happened. What’s to do? It was a simple accident, if you’re the teacher I would question your problem solving abilities. haha

I would take my papers out of the trash, and move on with my life.

Keep a tidier desk.

I would ask her to accidentally knock them back onto my desk again.

What i would do is wonder what her motive really was..a diversion for something in the room perhaps? Always look around when something unusual happens.. everything happens for a reason.
A room full of students is reason to suspect something else is going on.
Wait before picking the papers up…
When all clear then pick them up..explaining to the student “accidents happen”..don’t worry about it.
But if it happens again…then question the student.
