[Fluff time] When was the last time you truly had a bad mishap on Friday the 13th?

Asked by Hypocrisy_Central (26879points) January 13th, 2017

Mishaps come and go, often unnoticed. Those that happen on Friday the 13th to some stand out. What were the last bad misfortune (if any) happened to you on a Friday the 13th?

I’m not superstitous.
I have had some go rough from dawn to the depth of night.
I have also had some go well, even special.

Never that I can recall. My mom used to say the things you worry about the most never happen. That’s how I’ve always felt about Friday the Thirteenth.

Unfortunately, Mom’s little maxim didn’t hold true for the 2016 election!

I hurt my knee last Saturday and am on my way to the doctor at the moment. It got worse as the week went. I suspect a tear of some kind. So, not superstitious, just not used to sharing my bathroom with someone who doesn’t rinse the tub when they’re done. Should have just showered together and saved water and my knee.

Friday the 13th is just a date.

Actually I have had bad things happen to me a couple times, the week before Thanksgiving. Does that mean that third week in November is my equivalent to Friday the 13th? Of course not.

Yep, a tear, but not major. Mandatory one week off work with as little walking on my knee as possible. My doctor literally told me, ‘I write you a prescription for Voltaren and 1 liter of red wine’. Living in Europe is cool like that. Also, my co-pay was like 15USD and my prescription was 6USD. My litre of wine was the most expensive thing on the list, though. They love to tax vices.

I don’t know but it’s -25c here and I have to to take the truck into the shop today so we will see.

Couldn’t say. Today was great for me. Woke up to some money I didn’t know I was getting, turned out to be enough to get started on a potential money making venture
