Would you still participate in a secret santa gift exchange if you end up getting someone that you don't know?

Asked by rockfan (14627points) December 1st, 2017 from iPhone

I’m a member of a fan page on Facebook, and every year we do a secret santa, and some people, including me, are giving gifts to people that we don’t know. Because of this possibility, we took a questionnaire about the things we like, so it’s easier for people to buy gifts for that person. Personally, I don’t think it’s strange to buy gifts for someone I don’t know, the joy of gift giving is the same, even if it’s a stranger. Your thoughts?

I would participate in the same manner and with the same thoughts as you. It is the kind of thing that makes Christmas fun, and gives you a chance to bring a smile to a stranger’s face.

I would take it as a challenge.

Just buy some socks and soap for them.

@ragingloli I would actually get kicked out of the group if I did that

Why – is it a no socks or soap fan page?

Yes. I don’t understand dropping out just because you don’t know the person.

They don’t make soap-on-a-rope anymore?
