Am I the only one who licks their eye glasses to clean the smudges?

I hope it’s a joke, cause that made me throw up in my mouth a little bit. :)

@KNOWITALL No joke. I actually do that. I rinse before and after to avoid cooties. Been doing for 20 years.

This gave me a mental image of a chameleon licking It’s eyeballs with that massive ugly tongue.

What’s the purpose of the lick?

I use my hot breath, and a cloth.
If not adequate, I’ll use a little dish washing liquid and rinse it afterwards.
I’ve never seen someone lick his glasses, nor have I even thought of doing that.

@RedDeerGuy1 My eye doctor gives me little tiny windex-like bottles to clean my glasses with. I guess I’d be afraid of cooties and splash back, more so than scratching the lenses..lol

@stanleybmanly The lick is to get off stubborn stains from my glasses. I guess I could use a Mr. Clean magic eraser , but I don’t want my eyes to be irritated from the bleach. Edited

Anywhere there’s a sink in your house, you should have a spray bottle of dishwashing liquid diluted to the strength used for doing the dishes. Spray the lenses, work the solution over the lenses with your FINGERS. Rinse. Then dry with the appropriate towel, Kleenex, paper towel, etc. proceed to the nearest window hold the glasses up to examine for smudges, and exclaim loudly (as my sister would when performing the procedure with my own glasses). “Wow! There really is life on Mars!”

I use hot water and then wipe them with my bath towel. Warm glasses on your face feels oddly fantastic.

Crap.. The dog thing wasn’t about you licking your glasses. It is just a silly thing my buddy Christie started in high school. We called each other first initial-dog. I was r-dog, Aaron was a-dog.

EWWWWW. I keep a microfiber cloth in my purse for those moments where my lens need cleaning.
