When will you say your first "Merry Christmas!"?

Asked by rebbel (35550points) December 9th, 2019

Around what date?
Same as I?
The last (work) day before Christmas?
Or do you start the day after Thanksgiving?
Or in between these two?

I already did say it to someone.
They started it!

I do according to the likelihood of seeing someone again before Christmas.
I have wished a Merry Christmas to one older gentleman so far this year.

Does it count if I said If I don’t see you have a Merry Christmas.
If so, already did.

I usually start on Black Friday!!! When checking out at the cash register, I’m already wishing the cashier a Merry Christmas just in case I don’t get to see them again before Christmas.

Today I finished up my treatments with my doctor, so I wished him a Merry Christmas followed with I hope I won’t be seeing you again before then.

I don’t start it with friends & family until the week of Christmas because I usually know when I’ll be seeing them. For strangers, there’s a good chance I won’t be seeing them, so I express my wishes much earlier.

10 days ago, day after Thanksgiving when we bought a tree and listened to Keb Mo’s new Christmas album.
