Take the 1 train uptown, toward Van Cortlandt Park. Get off at 66th Street – Lincoln Center. The 86th Street subway stop is one of the most cited ways to get to “Sesame Street”

Go to 221B Baker St and ask S. Holmes for help. I believe he will tell you to take the Yellow Brick Road past Strawberry Fields. When you get to the fork in the road, keep to the left. The right goes to the Rue Morgue and that is a beastly place. I think it’s just past the Stairway to Heaven.

I always get there blindfolded. The count puts the blindfold on me, and Oscar road rages, er, drives.

This is all very pleasant & ever so helpful.
I thank you most profoundly!

@seawulf575 Just for clarification, the left fork in the road is Penny Lane.

True fact: I dated a girl called Penny Lane once, twas only once because she wanted too much too soon & I wasn’t that kinda boy.

seawulf575's avatar

So when did you finally become that kinda boy? And what caused the change?

ucme's avatar

The next day, I awoke full of regret after a wet dream over Penny.

It’s just down the road from Mr. Rodger’s Neighborhood.

In regards to the Huffington Post article, the street sign, where the letters NYC ought to be, should say (on the Sesame Street sign) CTW for Children’s Television Workshop. The Huffington Post article shows the sign saying 123,

The familiar ‘123 Sesame Street” is the address of the tenement where Susan and Gordon lived, and Oscar’s trashcan resided, and Bert and Ernie crept around the basement.
