If I were to ask you...& I am, to think of a particular TV theme tune, which would likely run through your head first?

Asked by ucme (50047points) June 4th, 2020

Could be from years ago, from your childhood even.
Or something recent, you watch now.
So long as you play fair & post honest, first thought answers only…this I demand! :D

I think it likely would be different each time you asked.

This time, it was:

Andy Griffith

followed by:

T J Hooker

The theme to Mission Impossible came to mind first.

Twilight Zone

I hear it a lot. I record Twilight Zone and Alfred Hitchcock shows off the air. The Zone runs a little overtime. So the Hitchcock recordings begin with the end credits of the Twilight zone, with the music. So I hear it at the beginning of both shows.

Andy Griffith here too.

This one.
It reminds me of Fluther.

Ok, when I read, “reminds me of Fluther”, this popped right in my head.

I Dream of Jeannie. My grandfather was always watching reruns of that show when I’d get home from school, and I guess the theme has really stuck with me!

A horse is a horse, of course, of course,
And no one can talk to a horse of course
That is, of course, unless the horse is the famous Mr. Ed.

The Addams Family

Particularly sticks with me because I got a really good Casio keyboard some years back that had several different kinds of harpsichords.

I got really good at The Addams Family theme song

Now I would like to see who was truthful on this question, it was what was the FIRST theme tune that you thought of when you read the question not your favourite .

seawulf575's avatar

For some odd reason it was the Mr. Ed theme. I hadn’t thought of it in ages, but when asked, it popped in.

SQUEEKY2's avatar

Mr Ed was a neat theme tune, Mr Rogers is definitely not my favourite theme but it was the first one that I thought of for this question.

Without looking, I don’t even remember what I said the first time. But it was accurate.

I still remember several renditions of The Addams Family. So normally, when I think of a TV theme song, that and Star Trek (the original series) come to mind.
