I am happy about it. She will do well, I am sure.

Nice to see some Repubs actually aren’t into race baiting and trans fearmongering enough to vote for the most qualified SCOTUS nominee since early 2017.

It’s like they finally came together. Are we getting back to normal?

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Don’t bet on it. Just yet anyway. @Dutchess_III Nice to see SOME progress though.

Delighted. A perspective born of different experience is a good thing.

Just like I felt she shouldn’t be nominated just because she’s a black female, I also believe that she shouldn’t be denied the position just because she’s a black female. Her own merit is what she should be judged on and “not the color of her skin, her sex, nor her political leaning”.

What do you define as “normal“? Most of the time when Democrats and Republicans come together, it’s to disagree with public opinion and screw over the poor and middle class.

That shit started when Obama got elected. The Republicans just lost their shit.
Before that I think they worked together better.

That’d be hilarious if she was putting on a facade, and is actually super conservative and right wing, and uses her power to destroy America further because she can slide by undetected.

I think she will serve very well.

About fucking time.

She is superbly qualified, and she brings life experiences, including how she was treated last week.

About flipping time, indeed.

Now, if only the Republicans who stormed out in protest, could be kept out. Or at least called out non-stop, so that their insane nonsensical misbehavior could have the consequences it deserves.

Some people are upset because she is “N&(ger” and and woman, they should put their big boys pants on and pull them up ! ! !

Damn.

She had such a promising future – Now she’s a prisoner of the Friends of Mitch Injustice League.

Good luck Batgurl.

I have come to regard all of Congress as performative theater so I am amazed when something I think is good happens.

I thought she handled the confirmation hearings really well. She was cool, calm and collected throughout the political posturing bullshit performances by Cruz, McConnell and the other idiots. I was really happy when she didn’t get upset or bite the bait they were throwing at her.

Brian1946's avatar

I agree that she handled them well.

However, when Senaturd Marshgas Blackbarf asked her what a woman is, I wish she had answered, “I’m not here to do your biology homework for you. Don’t waste our time just because you’re about to flunk out of Trump U”. ;)
