Why do you think CNN and Don Lemon are parting ways?

He made that comment a few months ago that women over 50 are past their prime, so that was probably the beginning of the end for him.

I’ve been expecting this although it had been so long that I thought CNN had forgiven him. Back in 2022 he screamed at one of his cohosts in front of the staff because she had tried to interject something into whatever he had said at the time, which caused a big stir. When Nikki Hailey announced her run for the presidency, he commented that she should drop out because she was past her prime. It seems like there were several more occasions where he used terrible judgement & I don’t recall the specifics. Much like Carlson, I feel that he also allowed his EGO to get in his way assuming that 17 years of service made him somehow more special than he actually is!!!

I don’t watch CNN, so I won’t miss him. Most of my knowledge of him has been on Youtube soundbites or late night shows commenting on something leftist that he had said. Some made me laugh & some didn’t. Although I would be shocked to hear that he’s switched to Fox, I wouldn’t necessarily be surprised. Since things seem to come in 3s, I’m now wondering who will be next???

Maybe the relationship just turned sour.

Ok, I don’t watch news and know of most things only by reading headlines so forgive me if this is my ignorance showing and this isn’t an attack…you said “something leftist that he had said”, and you wouldn’t be shocked if he switched to Fox…I thought Fox was pretty extreme right, so why would they want someone who makes leftist comments? Am I missing something?

When Trump and Biden were running for president Don made more than one comment that he was tired of being mean and constant negativity, not in those words. but that is how I heard his feelings when he said it.

When he moved to the morning I thought maybe it was an attempt to give him a slightly different role, but I did not think he would last. Part of the reason I thought he would not last in the morning was because newscasters I know who try to change time slots often find the change very difficult.

I heard about his tiff with Kaitlan. My husband loves her, but she has always annoyed me. Lol. So, even though I think Don was wrong, I had this idea that she might be constantly annoying to him too.

I watched the morning show he was on only a few times, and I found the three of them did not have chemistry and it also was boring to me, but I didn’t give it much chance.

I like Don, and I think he will go on to something else. Maybe he needs a vacation.

I would be shocked if he went to Fox.

According to the wise old fella here, he says that Lemon is being used as a scapegoat because CNN is doing so bad since they’ve changed management & NOBODY wants to accept the blame & Lemon is convenient due to all the crap he’s done. That makes as much sense as anything else I’ve heard today!!!

@LadyMarissa How can they blame Don for ratings, if ratings are lower even when Don isn’t on? CNN changed a lot of things around. I’m not sure why they did it.

I never liked Lemon and couldn’t stand to see him. He always came off as very misogynistic and acted like a know it all. And after reading this story, I can see why he was fired.
