Adios, Ryan O'Neal...

Asked by zenvelo (39430points) December 8th, 2023

Love means never having to say you’re sorry….

Ryan O’Neal was THE star of the 1970’s from Love Story to Paper Moon. What do you remember about him?

Not one of my favorites. Maybe it was the Love Story effect, but he always seemed like a kiss-ass good boy, even in films where he wasn’t supposed to be a good guy.

I looked at his filmography. With the exception of Love Story and What’s Up Doc?, he was quite forgettable.

Rest in Peace.

Enjoyed his films The Driver, Barry Lyndon, his movies with Streisand and Chances Are. Sad to know he’s gone.

He was the equivalent of the “It” girl back in the day with that wavy hair and those soulful eyes. RIP Ryan

btw, I never did get what that line was supposed to mean. Seems like it’s the opposite – if you love someone you would want to apologize. I thought it was the stupidest line from a movie, but I guess most people loved it.

That’s about it. He was certainly beloved by many… Others…
