Where are some cost effective places to stay in the Cape Cod Area?

Asked by qualitycontrol (2573points) April 27th, 2009

I have vacation coming up in May and I live a couple hours from Cape Cod. I don’t have a lot to spend but I want to bring my gf and stay in a decent hotel for a few nights…I know there are some Boston area people on here…could you give me some ideas or maybe a review of where you stayed? If not, could you recommend a website where I could book a cheap hotel? I hear the rates are super low these days.

W. Yarmouth has one i think it’s called the Yankee Clipper. Great rates and not a bad place.

This hotel/inn was something my sister-in-law had recommended one time. I checked out the website and it’s interesting….

NPR had a little news story on this a few weeks ago – how specifically the Cape is having a hard time right now, and you can find hotels and vacation rentals really cheaply. They mentioned this website specifically.

I’d definitely check this out. Many people rent out houses for weeks at a time or long weekends, and the story stated that they’re already slashing their prices. You may be able to get an amazing deal on a prime rental.

also, the time you’re going is off season, so it should be cheaper just for that reason alone.
