What has Mike Tyson given to your memory.

Asked by TROLL (378points) May 25th, 2009

Mike Tyson, you love him you hate him,but isn’t he just a victim of circumstance and should we not all in some way feel responsible for him/others whom have a mindset of the like.

Mike Tyson has shown me that by comparison, I am not the least sane person in the world.

There is no such thing as a “victim of circumstance”.

The only person that can ultimately make me act in any way is me.

This holds true for everyone.

Ear biter, that can destroy with one punch

Everyone is a product of their biology and their environment. In so far that we, individually, contribute to the society that creates the world we live in then yes, we are all responsible for, and to, each other.

This is one of my fundamental beliefs. And I do not have many.

Ear biting and incongruous voices.

Amazingly gifted boxer with the absolute perfect instincts for his chosen sport. We ALL have faults and regardless of wealth or upbringing need stable friends and family to keep us on check. Tyson unfortunately had little wealth from his early years with an awful childhood. Wealth came quickly and his “chosen” friends were no such thing. Blame Don King for all the bad memories associated with this poor victim.

That I rode by the place he was incarcerated and was surprised it was at the Indiana Youth Center even though he was 24 at the time of conviction and 23 at the time of the crime.

Nothing at all but a vague association with fighting.

The media loves a villain, as long as he was “evil” and served their purpose, they were all over him. His handlers, the boxing world, the public who supported his excesses, are fixed in my memory as some of the biggest cons, liars known to man. A very sad memory, I pitied him.

He has given a very good example of what a strong person can do without sanity to guide them. I wonder if he has tried any body parts apart from ear?

He had opportunities to better himself. He decided to lead the path of life he has lead. Sure, he was an amazing fighter. He was also an abusive husband and vicious in the ring, while taking a bit out of another fighter’s ear. He wanted to cry victim when it was convenient, he squandered millions and never tried to do better for himself. At least to my knowledge, he didn’t.

Now, as far as what is going on with his daughter, my best wishes to his family and his daughter. (I haven’t heard any updates since this morning, so I’m not sure what is going on.)

Bad things happen to good people as well as to people who have made some bad decisions.

She was only four and her family must be heartbroken.
