How much money to change your sexuality?

Asked by jackm (6212points) October 20th, 2009

I know you can’t really change your sexuality, but you can change the people you have relationships and sex with.

How much money would it take for you to switch from women to men, or vice versa? This change is for your whole life.

I would never do that, although sometimes Id like the whole guy act ( the cars, the motorcycles n the crazy action stuff), I would never give up on being a girl even if I was given all the money and power in the world. If I did, i would lose my identity and myself.

jackm's avatar

@Roory
I dont mean change you sex, but change your sexuality. Like from straight to gay.

Sarcasm's avatar

No amount of money on Earth could make me permanently live a gay lifestyle.
It would cost millions of dollars for me to have sex with a man. Billions if I’m to be the “bottom”.
But to act gay in public for a short period of time? That wouldn’t cost much.

Roory's avatar

@jackm even though, it’d still feel the same…. nope, id never give up on guys even though they can be jerks most of the times…

peedub's avatar

No amount. I identify with my sexual preference to the degree that cannot fathom what life would be like if it were different. I mean, how can one’s preference be switched, do you mean magically?

jackm's avatar

@peedub
I am not saying change preference, I am saying you would be living a lie.

jackm's avatar

@Sarcasm
You would not be the bottom for $100,000
One time?

DominicX's avatar

I just don’t know how much I could enjoy money if I were living a lie.

I want a big house with my boyfriend. :(

peedub's avatar

Oh. I would easily do it for 10 million.

I could help a lot of homeless people with that amount, and perhaps start a foundation for animals that have been sexually mistreated by whackos from the south.

jackm's avatar

@peedub
what about animals mistreated by people from the north? No compassion?

FireMadeFlesh's avatar

There are some things money can’t buy.

peedub's avatar

Those too, animals from all over.

laureth's avatar

I’m bi. What would I change to, celibate? No thanks. :)

KatawaGrey's avatar

@laureth beat me to it. :)

evegrimm's avatar

Yeah, um…seeing as how, for the right person, not the right amount of money, I’d consider “changing” my sexuality…yeah.

So, @jackm, what do us bi people do? Go straight? :D

jackm's avatar

Umm, I guess bi people get into bestiality?

saraaaaaa's avatar

£1 million and a packet of twinkies.

Edit: Bestiality…? That’s low dude.

Simone_De_Beauvoir's avatar

yeah since I sleep with all sexes and genders, the change would be to asexual
and just like someone above said ‘no thanks’

KatawaGrey's avatar

@jackm: Hilarious answer dude. GA from me!

There is no amount of money the world could possibly offer me to change my sexuality. Yes I’m very much bi-sexual having had both girlfriends and boyfriends. I love my boyfriend WAY to much to ever want to be with anyone else <3 – LB

TitsMcGhee's avatar

I don’t think I could take any amount of money for that. I feel like I would be lying to the woman with whom I was in a relationship with if I still truly was attracted to men. If there was some hypothetical pill or operation or such that would change it for me, so that I actually had feelings for and was attracted to women, that might be a different story, but it would take a good deal of money to do that too. I am comfortable with how I am, and I don’t think I’d want to start from square one.

OpryLeigh's avatar

I wouldn’t for the simple reason that I would never want to limit my options and in doing so jeopardise my chance of happiness. If I said that I would only date and sleep with girls I could miss out on falling in love with a man and being happy with him and vice versa.

No amount of money would make me change who I am. I’m gay, and I like that. I wouldn’t change just for money. I would DO something for money, but I wouldn’t permanently change an aspect of my identity.

prude's avatar

I don’t think I could do it.

There’s a notorius website called Baitbus.com which consists of a bunch of people riding around in a van. They pick up straight guys and tell them that one of the girls in the van wants to have sex with them. They persuade him to wear a blindfold and the girl goes down on him. Then she switches off with a guy, without telling the guy who is getting blown. This goes on for a while until the blindfold falls off and the dude discovers it has been a guy blowing him this whole time. Of course, he freaks out big time.

But… they lay this big load of crap on him about how this is the girl’s fantasy, how he’s going to get to screw her later but he has to screw the dude first, and they offer him a couple hundred bucks. Every single one of the guys ends up screwing the dude for some amount of money—most for $500 bucks or less. You can tell by the reactions and the body language that these are definetly not actors. Race makes no difference.

Moral of the story: Every man has his price, and a hard dick has no conscience.

I can also tell you from having been in prison, pretty much everyone gives it up sooner or later.

On the other hand, I once dated a billionaire. But he didn’t turn me on, so I moved on. Money isn’t everything, but it can open your mind.

@Zuma I like watching that
;)

Men make me happy. why would I steal my own happiness for a material want?

Violet's avatar

permanently or temporary?

Anon_Jihad's avatar

I’d take it up the ass for one hundred grand in US currency without much of a second thought. No dignity? Who needs it more than a hundred grand? I don’t.

Fact from fiction, truth from diction. You could drain the Pacific and stack it up the the current tide level with solid goal bars, stack $100 dollar bricks in the hold of 100,000,000 container ships and you would not get me to live a Gay lifestyle or do a Gay sex act for a nano second or the 5th fasted fraction of a second ahead of that.

Simone_De_Beauvoir's avatar

@Hypocrisy_Central whoa, trying really hard to defend your heterosexuality, aren’t you?

Hypocrisy_Central's avatar

@Simone_De_Beauvoir Not really there is a lone in the sand I am making sure NO abount of money can get me to cross; as I am sure everyone has it just might not stop at the border of sexuality. ;-p

Simone_De_Beauvoir's avatar

@Hypocrisy_Central you mean line in the sand or what?

Hypocrisy_Central's avatar

@Simone_De_Beauvoir Typo, but yeah Everyone has one somewhere, they may go up to it but they would never cross it even ubder threat of death.

jackm's avatar

@Hypocrisy_Central
Just the gold ocean alone is $476,993,474,800,000,000,000,000,000. (yes I did the math)

That is a fuck ton of money. Thats $476 septillion.

I don’t believe you wouldn’t live a gay lifestyle for a nano second for that much money.

berocky1's avatar

Honestly, I can’t see the point of this question. Why not do what makes you happy? If money made me that happy, I would have sex with women.

slick44's avatar

No money, I go both ways.
