Applying to A Governor's School: Which Teachers Should I ask?

Asked by freestyletrue (126points) October 30th, 2009

It’s an Arts/Technology School, so I’ve got my Art Teacher Down, but should I ask my Civics, Science, or Creative Writing/English Teacher for the other part? I was sorta unsure of who would be best to ask. The school’s focuses are Visual Arts, Literary Arts, Technology, and Musical-stuff. (I’m going for Visual Arts! ^_^)

You never say what you’re asking for, but I’ll assume it’s for a letter of recommendation. You should ask a teacher who knows you well. The subject is not nearly as important as the opinion expressed, so pick a teacher who knows (and likes) you best!

Ask any teacher that you know will write a good recommendation and who knows you well.

The subject that the teacher teaches is irrelevant when writing a recommendation. That they know that you’re motivated to do well is.

Okay, thanks! (And sorry about not putting that detail in, xD)
