What are you going to do with the extra hour you receive in the transition from Daylight Savings Time to Standard Time?

Asked by The_Compassionate_Heretic (14634points) November 1st, 2009 from IM

This is assuming you live in an area that engages in this practice.
For those that do not, assume you have an extra hour in your day.
What do you do with that hour?

Sleep. What, you mean I can use it for something else?

I used it to log more hours of Living Dead in Halo 3. I know, very productive.

I was really drunk so that hour as well as many others kind of disappeared.

Sicne I’ve wasted about 3 hours fluthering already, the question of how to use another hour is probably moot.

“Fall Back” day should be a celebrated holiday. Until the time “Springs Forward” in the spring, I will be on time for work every morning, and get to bed at a decent hour every night. I go into hibernation mode, and feel like I gain two hours of rest every day- 8 am winter time is 9 am summer time, and the darkness makes me want to go to sleep by 10 pm winter time, which is 11 pm summer time. My body feels more rested.

Extra laundry time! Now I can finally wash all that stuff at the bottom of the hamper that I’m always avoiding.

@jeffgoldblumsprivatefacilities The illusive bottom of the hamper… I saw that once.

Got up early, walked around the lake, stared at the last of the changing leaves and called my sister with a pumpkin latte in hand. It was a perfect hour.

We went from British Summer Time back to GMT last week, and I spent it with vodka, listening to music in the garden :-)
